Not to mention, you want to get familiar with the person who is going to be working with your newborn for an extended period of time immediately after delivery.

As a mother and baby photographer, I know that cost is very important to you, as it should be; however, there are a few ideas that will be especially critical than how much it will cost you. Here are a few questions to ask.

This should eliminate quite a few photographers right from the start.

Don't even pick up the phone and call if they have a variety of newborns presented on the glass. Why would you want to consider bringing your newborn baby to a photographer who would endanger your child by putting him or her in glass that could break? Do you want to risk your newborn getting hurt for the sake of your art? I am not and will never put a baby in a glass container! It's really quite simple and not worth the risk.
